Pattric Rawlins is an intellectual property attorney. He is a partner at Procopio and is Chair of the firm’s Software Group and Team Leader of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. He received a computer science degree (with high scholarship) from Oregon State University and spent 5 years working in the software industry prior to becoming an attorney. Pattric focuses his practice on protecting his clients’ inventions (patents), brands (trademarks), publications (copyright) and confidential business information (trade secrets). He particularly enjoys helping his clients establish and optimize their intellectual property portfolios to maximize the value of these investments and increase recurring revenue through licensing programs. Pattric also assists his clients with conflict resolution (settlement) and litigation regarding intellectual property matters and channels that experience into creating strategic programs for protection, licensing, and divestment of his clients’ intellectual property assets. Pattric has briefed and argued patent and trademark prosecution appeals before the United States Patent Office Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
